I wish I could express the love that I have in my heart.
Words feel too trite. Too small.
Every day, in every moment, I love with every atom that makes up the universe, and there are not words huge enough to express that feeling.
But there is one place that I feel truly seen: the ocean.
Standing on its shores is the only time my heart feels understood.
Like the ocean, the edges of my love are unfathomable and its depths unknown. It is both constant and unwavering, but shifts in every moment, embracing the reality of all that is.
It gives unendingly to the sky and the earth. It is essential to existence and moves us in ways that we cannot begin to comprehend.
When I gaze out over the crashing tides, I am seen. Because the sea understands. It knows what I mean when I whisper to the winds that inside of me, I hold infinite love for everyone and everything, and that this love is so huge, I fear the universe itself cannot contain it.
I wish that every person I meet could feel the enormity of the beauty that I see in them and in everything. It swells in my chest, swirling and powerful. It crashes within me. Waves that unmake and rebuild all that I am in each second.
That is the love that I hold for all things. It moves me. It shapes me. It is who I am and what I have to give. And where words fall short the ripples of the ocean are all I can point to.
I love you that much.
