In March of 2014, I had the very fortunate experience to be present when the Spiritual Circles Symphony and The Waves of Colored Light Symphony were composed at Mount Shasta in northern California. Mount Shasta, at 14,179 feet elevation, is a spectacular volcano with sparkling lakes, wild rivers, towering pine forests, bubbling creeks, and massive granite boulders. Taking daily hikes and walks, I eagerly explored the mountain and natural environment.

The New Equations students who gathered there came from Europe, and many locations in the USA, to take part in this creative spiritual musical adventure. Each day, in preparation for the composition of a new musical piece, we did New Equations practices to align our physicality with the spirituality of nature, Earth, the universe, each other, and our own souls. We were filled with the miraculous beauty and energy that surrounded us.

One early morning I went exploring on my own on the trails that were by a lake at the base of the volcano. It felt as if something drew me to that particular place, at that particular time, and I followed that impulse. It turned out to be a magical experience. The way the sunlight met the mountain and the lake created this incredible beauty and reflection of that beauty. I took many photos that morning and one of them is the album cover for the Spiritual Circles Symphony. The stillness of the water, the angles of the light, the contrasting colors of the snow-capped mountain, the emerald green forest, and the multiple shades of blue of the sky and lake, all came together to create a unique and special alignment of nature, Earth, light, and color. It was from the energy of moments like this that we all came together each day to bring our own light and soul to the creation of the music.

All the days of my Mount Shasta musical journey were filled with magical moments of love, soul connection, alignment with nature, and new spiritual experiences. If you ever have the opportunity to participate in the creation of New Equations Music, you will find it is an experience unlike any other and I highly recommend it!
